Fire and ice couldn't be more different and that makes them all the more exciting when combined. When the snow-covered landscape trembles and a volcano gathers its energy inside and suddenly hot magma shoots into the clear winter air. Slowly but steadily, the hot masses make their way down the valley, where they meet a frozen lake. The glowing lava eats an opening in it and begins to cool. But at the moment of meeting you can admire the hot interior of the earth in the fine cracks of the lake surface. Fine red lines like veins run through the ice before sinking cold and hard to the bottom of the water. This fusion of fire and ice is preserved forever in this chain. Unique and beautiful.
